Socio-economic empowerment

The overall objective of the socio-economic empowerment project is to contribute to the empowerment of marginalized groups in Albania and enable their social inclusion through improved employability and entry into the labor market of unemployed persons, strengthening and economic recovery of small businesses affected by COVID- 19 as well as through improving the economic viability of micro-farms.

This project is funded by The German Federal Foreign Office, Medicor Foundation and Aktion Deutschland Hilft.

Employment and Self-employment:

  • At least 25 unemployed youth will have gained their professional skills and competences in order to support them entering the labour market having completed a six-month trainee apprenticeship.
  • At least 20 unemployed youth who have completed the trainee apprenticeship will be employed by the participating business for a minimum of six-month.
  • At least 25 businesses will have participated in active labour market measures through the on-job-training scheme and will have trained a formerly unemployed individual.
  • At least 20 participating businesses will employ a trainee at the end of the on-the-job training scheme and then will receive an equipment grant and business advice helping them to further grow their business.
  • At least 20 micro-farmers benefit from grants in agricultural equipment and capacity building training enabling them to increase productivity and increase earnings from their families.

Kindergarten and crèche rehabilitation

In the framework of the SOE05 project, the Kindergartgen and Créche buildings no. 2 in Ballsh, Mallakaster will undergo improvement works indoors and outdoors, to create the most comfortable conditions for children attending preschool education.
